Same Love, Same Rights® was launched in 2004 in response to the Federal Marriage Amendment Act.  Originally, the organization was created as a means to raise additional donations for nonprofit groups working toward marriage equality.

In 2007, owners Marianne Puechl & Cindy Sproul extended their vision to include the Mobile Marriage Summit at the company's ongoing tour of Gay and Lesbian Wedding Expos.  The mission of the Mobile Marriage Summit is to create an ever-strengthening bridge between the gay & lesbian community, business professionals, nonprofits, and advocates to stand together in policies of tolerance and acceptance.  Believing that equal rights are attainable, Sproul & Puechl created the Summit in order to provide a format in which ideas and resources can be successfully exchanged among individuals all across the nation.

Puechl and Sproul married in 1999, and have worked in the LGBT wedding industry ever since.  Founders of www.RainbowWeddingNetwork.com, their company has grown to provide the most extensive resources for Gay and Lesbian couples who are planning ceremonies, honeymoons, or creating a home together.
